Fitwel Enters The Canadian Market

Fitwel Enters The Canadian Market

BOMA Canada is excited to be part of the team introducing Fitwel, a cost effective, high impact, health promoting building certification program, into Canada. Our own John Smiciklas will be part of the panel discussion during the June 19th launch event to be held at the Steelcase Work Life Centre.

On June 19th, join the Center for Active Design in Toronto, Canada to learn how Fitwel, a cost-effective, high-impact health promoting building certification is transforming the building industry.

Fitwel was named one of Fast Company’s 2017 Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Social Good in the world. After only three months in the market, Fitwel is fast approaching 100 certified projects globally. Fitwel’s initial success is an indication that companies value health-promoting workplaces.

“Become a Fitwel Ambassador” is an educational workshop that will provide attendees a live 60-minute training course, introducing the rationale and evidence used to develop Fitwel and its high-impact strategies. It will also train participants to use the digital interface used for certification. This knowledge will prepare attendees to take the exam and become designated Fitwel Ambassadors. In the process, participants will become design and health nexus experts, walking away with a clear understanding of how to integrate Fitwel strategies within buildings. Fitwel Ambassadors are healthy workplace leaders who usher their own companies and clients through the Fitwel Certification process. On-going opportunities are available for Fitwel Ambassadors, including exclusive networking, best practice exchanges, and healthy workplace continuing education workshops.

(No prior expertise in health or building systems is required. Limited Seats available).
