McGill College

McGill College campus occupies 32 hectares of space and is located in the Historic and Natural District of Mount Royal. McGill College commits to sustainability and recognizes that institutions need to take necessary steps to lighten the footprint of their infrastructure.

They have implemented a Green McGill project which promotes more pedestrian friendly campus by limiting motorized vehicles, increasing bicycle paths around campus, increasing the amount of bike racks to encourage bike travel and improving green space to create more space for the community.

In making the campus greener, McGill has not only made their buildings and campus more sustainable but also promotes a positive sustainable lifestyle and behavior to their faculty, students and people who frequent the location.
